Nick Saban spoke to the media following Wednesday’s practice as Alabama prepares for Michigan State in Saturday’s Capital One Bowl in Orlando.

The 59-year-old discussed several topics including losing star quarterback Greg McElroy next season, preparing for the Capital One Bowl this week and his Michigan State ties.
“We’re only a good team when we play at our best,” Saban noted. “We’ve sort of proven that during this year when we’ve played well, we’ve been pretty good.”
“Sometimes we haven’t played as well as we need to and that’s been very costly to us with pretty negative consequences,” he added.
